Pouring the Foundation
Pouring the Foundation
Welcome to Let’s Create Ministries Cleveland. We are a biblical ministry that stands on the following foundational scriptures; Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” and 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” We believe these scriptural truths and through them are motivated to discover more of God’s amazing creation and be inspired to put our hands to creating our own something out of nothing.
It is our mission to guide fellow believers to connect with their inner creative spirit. Through hands-on activities and workshops we explore different artistic mediums and use them to gain a deeper knowledge of who God is and who He is calling us to be.
Before we embark on this mission, it is imperative that we lay our foundation. Seven days ago I got a word at church about the importance of laying a strong foundation. Look at Luke 6:46-49;
46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
Here’s what I know about 2018; it was a year spent digging deep, rooting out, tamping down and preparing me for pouring a foundation. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t pretty, it was hard labor, and it was necessary. And now I stand on the threshold of 2019, ready to pour.
The word spoken last Sunday talked about cement, and how it is comprised of different rough aggregate materials; silica, lime, alumina, etc. More importantly, my spiritual cement consists of things like faith, God’s evident Glory, Apostolic instruction, and mind regulation. All these rough materials are mixed together and water is added. To the spirit, God’s Word is the water. It then must be stirred over and over until it reaches a smooth consistency. My friends, I am here to tell you that as we enter 2019, the spiritual cement has reached it’s necessary consistency.
Sunday we poured the foundation, and now we must let the cement set. While it sets it is not simply drying, but undergoing a chemical reaction. Once this reaction happens, no longer can any component be removed from the final product. Satan CANNOT steal my faith, he CANNOT remove the mind regulation that has been mixed in. The foundation was poured for my business, my family and my ministry this past Sunday.
Another interesting fact is that cement takes 28 days to completely cure. Beginning tomorrow I will be entering a 21 day consecration with my church. We will be following the Daniel Fast for our diet, refraining from social media use, and spending more time each day seeking God’s face. At the end of this consecration it will have been exactly 28 days since the cement was poured. On February 2nd, I will begin building on my foundation. You can expect to see weekly blog posts and an upcoming calendar of events for Let’s Create Ministries Cleveland. Please pray for me as I seek God’s purpose for this ministry and His methods for sharing it with all of you.
